A Place to Land
Built in 1906 and thoughtfully restored, the Water Wheel Victorian combines historic character with the modern comforts that make longer stays easy.
First Impressions
The water wheel turns in the front pond by the glazed sunporch. It was built by local craftsman Martin Sweet, who restored this home's original custom molding and other Victorians in the area. It's the house's signature feature and part of its local story.
The Glazed Sunporch
The sunporch fills with morning light and offers a spot for breakfast, coffee, or a game of chess at the bistro tables. A couch by the water wheel provides a comfortable place to read or unwind at the end of the day.
Living Room
Comfortable seating, a large smart TV with Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, ESPN, and Prime, and space for your whole group to relax after a day in the redwoods.
Kitchen
Fully equipped for real cooking, the kitchen includes a stand mixer, roasting pan, and a well-stocked spice rack, along with the essentials for everyday meals. Families have prepared full holiday meals here, and you'll have what you need to cook comfortably at home.
Bedrooms
Four bedrooms across two floors, each with a smart TV and bedside charging stations. The beds are consistently noted for their comfort, with extra blankets and pillows available in every room.

Two full bathrooms, one on each floor, with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and fresh towels provided. An upstairs laundry room makes it easy to pack light, especially for longer stays.
Enclosed Backyard
The fully fenced backyard offers space to relax, grill on the propane BBQ, or gather at the picnic tables with seating for eight. It's especially convenient for guests traveling with dogs, and in the spring the rhododendrons add seasonal color.

Cody lives in a separate unit on the property. Guests have private access and self check-in, but local support is available if needed. He is responsive and easy to reach during your stay.
